| DIY distressed mason jars |

my husband and i are pretty DIY; our passion really came to be when we decided we wanted our wedding to be "us" so signs, platters, thank you gifts etc etc etc were created.  Since then, a furniture business evolved, and a ton of other visions were formed and executed .  This particular DIY is going to be perfect for the wedding shower I am hosting but also is such a simple starter type DIY.  I love some of the ideas Pinterest provided like pencil holder for your desk or a utensil and straw holder for a party.

+ mason jars | spray paint: you can use any color combo you want, I chose Heirloom White and Black  | 150 grit sand paper | scrap wood or anything you're ok with crafting away on |

+ spray the inside of the mason jar with whatever you want the interior color of your jar to be.  This is the color that will show through at the end of the project.  *make sure to apply lightly and evenly

+ let your first color dry before proceeding on step 2

+ next spray your exterior color over your first color then spray the outside of your mason jar; remember! lightly and evenly

+ tip!  I sprayed the outside of my mason jar in two session because it can be hard to spray the bottom while wet. let the mason jars completely dry before proceeding to step 3

+ take the 150 grit sandpaper and scuff up your dried mason jar.  You can choose how distressed you want your finish product to look.

super simple right?  any questions leave comments below or email me at erin(at)netaloves.com
have a good weekend, xxoo
