happy monday!  holy moly...coming back has been a bit crazy: we got home, had a neighborhood garage sale over the weekend, our internet wasn't working, then today we wake up to my brand new car having a dead battery. OIE. today was a bust and tested my patience to the max.  jeff and i ran to old navy while we were on the east coast and i was so impressed with their fall assortment that i met my mom there on friday to buy a few things: a pair of moccasin loafers and a pair of smoking loafers.  i'm loving loafers right now and love that they can be paired casual or dressed up- they are one of my favorite fall trends:

my sister was in town this past weekend, while we were out shopping she picked up the cutest pair of sandals with metal detail accents: she wasn't sure if they were trend right but they so are.  In fact, I was just relaxing catching up on some of my favorite blogs and browsing a few May magazines and you'll see metal details all over.  I really love this look: these sandals can be worn as a casual look or you can pair them with a fun spring dress.
