| LOOKS FOR THANKSGIVING: |

today i went out to j.crew and h&m to find a thanksgiving outfit.  disclaimer i already had an outfit put together but the weather in san diego on thursday is like a warm summer day (89 inland)!  my key to a successful thanksgiving look is simple: it's all about comfort.  you are eating all day so an elastic waist is so important to me.  i also think wearing baggy is ok as long as it's chic--- think a frock dress. i love getting dressed up for holidays,  i hope you all have your outfits put together; if not all these looks work for any coast and are all present collections.

jeff and i few into boston last night and although we had a direct flight flying across the country is a whole day of traveling kind of thing.  let me lay it out for you: my sister picked us up around 6 am, sat in traffic to the airport, took off at 9 am, got into boston around 530 pm, got our luggage, needed food (i could of gnawed off jeff's arm), grabbed dinner and then it was near 8 pm.  *weph!*  the day was gone.  the weather is absolutely gorgeous; so crisp and clean.  this is my favorite time to be on the east coast.  tomorrow we're going to exercise around a nearby park but wanted to check in. hope you are all having a good day. xx

i love following other bloggers: something navy is one of my favorites.  she recently did a post and i loved everything about her look.. so like any crazy person does i went to h&m to try and find the shirt then recreate the outfit with my own twist.  the first h&m i went to didn't have the shirt so i went to another one [ i know, i'm cra ].  you know by now, i'm somewhere between comfort and a j.crew obsessed dresser and this shirt had it all for me: oversized, stripes and perfect for fall.

happy monday!  i love wool hats for fall and winter; they're so chic and they also play a great role for a bad hair day.  Todays two looks i chose a hat from rag & bone and another from h & m both are similar with one big difference: price point.  you can find wool hats at wear now stores like forever 21 or if you live in san diego you can grab one at the new topshop at fashion valley.  you can also splurge if you think you'll wear the heck out of it.. hope you all have a great week.

jeff and i drove about an hour and a half east to julian for a little getaway.  it really felt like fall up there: crisp, breezy and beautiful.  whenever venturing to julian you must have a piece of pie-- so we did just that...i was a little sad apple picking is pretty much done for the season but it was nice to get a change of scenery and enjoy other parts of san diego. hope you all are having a great week. xx
