| WHAT I'M LOVING RIGHT NOW: |

happy monday! tomorrow jeff and i are off to new england for a bit.  i've totally hit a packing funk: packing for cooler weather takes up so much more room in my luggage which makes you have to pack a bit more savvy.  with my sister being back in san diego we always find our way to a mall or doing some sort of shopping.  last week we spent an entire day shopping (exhausting) and she and i were both on a mission and we failed. i wanted a maroon felt hat and she wanted maroon pants.  we are both loving maroon and these two looks make me want to load up on lots more of it because it's great for fall and winter plus it's a great color for the upcoming holiday season!  hope you all have a great week. xx

My j brand denim jacket was a big priority on my packing list for our 30 day getaway.  i love the versatility in a denim jacket. wear it casually or dress it up a bit.  hope you all have a great week!

| go-to makeup |

I've been pretty loyal to my go-to makeup regiment for years now: below are my go-to's I wear daily to work.  If I'm not working I'm lathering on SPF moisturizer, curling my lashes, and slapping on lip-gloss.  I love letting my skin have a few days off; it gets quite temperamental and likes when it gets the chance to breathe.
I am obsessed with all my 'essentials'.  I don't wear a full on foundation: my skin can't handle it.  I spot check with the Balm concealer and power with Covergirl.  I always load on the bronzer and then apply Orgasm by Nars lightly on top then highlight on my cheek bones and bridge of my nose.  I have no idea what I would do if I never discovered the Balm mary lou-manizer; it just makes me feel fresh.  I have always been a two kind of mascara girl- I really like the mascara's maybelline makes; I curl my lashes before and after the mascara goes on.  I fill in my brows and try to make them a little thicker than they already are.  I swipe a tiny bit of eyeliner on and finish with MAC by Angel.  I've never been a lipstick girl but this color is a total game changer....I sound like that whole voiceover in American Psycho and his regiment; if you don't know it...you should look it up.

FAKE IT TIL YOU MAKE IT.

I've got to say, working a full time job definitely effects my summer glow.  I'm finally coming to terms that I might actually finish summer tan less.   My dermatologist might love this news but to me, it's heartbreaking.  Below are some great "tools" to fake it til you make it. Enjoy!

2. My personal FAV! The Balm
4. Great Buy Physicians Formula
5. Nars
6. The perfect applicator Tom Ford
7. Great for traveling Tan Towels
9. Everyday gradual tan Jergens
