i am the first to admit that as i get older the more neurotic i am.  flying, amongst (many) other things, falls into this category.  what i wear when i fly is so important: i need to be comfy, i need to have the option of layering on pieces if I get cold and being comfy it's a bit warm...sigh, so much pressure.  when i saw this casual outfit on pinterest i realized that is basically my go-to cross country travel outfit.

getting back to the grind has been extra challenging this week.  this weekend will mark our only free weekend for the month of May and i couldn't be more excited for it - i think i'm feeling a little burnt out but i'm also so motivated, i don't know where the stop button is.  i jotted down my goals (and I encourage you to do the same) for the the next few months and they make me want them to happen now.

| bridal shower inspiration |

i am such an ocd planner and am obsessed with hosting (which i totally don't get to do too often).  i offered to throw my dear girlfriend amber's bridal shower brunch in the beginning of april and i can't stop researching pinterest / style me pretty / glitter guide / any other cute blog to get inspired.  here's the low down: 16 of amber's family and friends will be coming to my house, i'm hosting a garden-esque party to celebrate amber's upcoming marriage, i'm wearing a coral dress...annnd...that's all i've got so far.  OH! my husband so graciously offered to build me two farmhouse tables to wine and dine the girls.  here is what is currently inspiring me...i'm pretty much still all over the place but feel pretty confident with a few ideas I have churning - stay tuned to see how the soirée turns out:

OVERUSED WORD

Jeff said my favorite word lately isand he's right, while re-reading some of my blog post's I totally overuse it.  oops.  We're all literally human, right?

SWEET DREAMING

I am literally obsessed with decorating my bedroom.  I love white.  All white.  I hate color in a bedroom.  I love big fluffy cozy bedding with lots of pillows.  I love a peaceful environment.  I hate when there is stuff under a bed (besides Charlie's bed).  I love touches of neutrals, subtle art, floor length curtains.  Our bedroom is a big mixture of the photos above and I love it. sources

CRAZY

You know when life gets SO crazy you feel like you're running around like a chicken with your head cut off?  That's me.  Right now.  My sister is getting married in a month (!!!) so there is TONS going on (the festivities begin this weekend).  That of course is just the cherry on top of my already insanely crazy schedule, oh and mind you it's been incredibly hot in LA that all I want to do is just sleep when I get home from work.  So, for the zillionth time, I'm sorry for neglecting my blog for the past few days.  Thinking of all of you. xo, E
