CYBER MONDAY!

happy monday!  i hope you all had a great long weekend full of family, friends, love and lots of food.   i did a tiny bit of black friday shopping but i really wasn't feeling it-- jeff ended up dropping off my mom, sister and i at a local mall so we didn't have to deal with parking and that whole headache.  did you support small business saturday? i love all the small businesses in leucadia and along the coast.  and now: enter cyber monday.  is your inbox full of steals and deals?  i love shopping online especially during the holidays: i hate the crowds!  here are some of my favorite cyber monday deals...enjoy. xx

GIFT GUIDE FOR HER- STUFF HER STOCKING:

holiday season is approaching. like quick.  when did it become mid-november?  i'm starting to see gift guides on all my favorite sites so i figured why not get a head start?  hope you all have a great week. xo

1. madewell always makes the best scarfs; this oversized plaid one is cozy and chic all at the same time.
2. sugar paper at target? stop.  this 2015 calendar is dreamy.  it makes me want to be the most organized gal out there.  stuff her stocking with any of the sugar fish x target and it's sure to be a hit.
3. i'm a note taker, list maker...if it's not written down it's not getting done, kind of girl.  most of my girlfriends are like this too.  this smythson notebook is small enough to fit in most bags and stylish enough to whip out anywhere.
4. ok. stop. this is so cute and any gal who likes makeup even a smidge will die over this benefit advent calendar. it comes with all the benefit favs and the packaging is adorable so skip the wrapping.
5. i'm a sucker for cute sayings + words on accessories.  these old navy gloves may not be the warmest gloves but they are darn cute and perfect for a cool night in california.
6. girls love their tumblrs and recyclable mugs: or is it just me?  i could never have enough.  this j.crew reusable water bottle is the perfect size for a quick workout and is dishwasher safe!
7. ok. this shirt does make me happy!  this megan lee design shirt come in different states with cute sayings.  roll it up and stuff it in the bottom of the stocking ;)
8. kate spade makes the sweetest, daintiest products and this business card holder is thin enough to throw in the smallest clutch and get your network on.
9. i really love deborah lippmann polishes: they are such a great quality and her polishes contain no toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor or DBP and no animal testing. this mini set is perfect for the holidays.
don't forget the candy and a bux card ;)

LUXE FOR LESS:

where the heck did the week go? holy moly!  time flies when you're having fun.  today is a rainy day in new england so i'm not sure what we're up to but yesterday we went on an awesome walk through morses pond then shopped.  holy cow!  we went into TJX in Framingham and they had an amazing runway section.  i could of done some damage in there except the whole no room in the suitcase thing.
todays luxe for less is something that killlllls me.  i've been eyeing this burberry coat since we lived on the east coast.  in person, it is so beautifully made, cozy & warm, tailored nicely and so chic but for whatever reason i never pulled the trigger- maybe it's the $1,000 price point, maybe i needed something a bit weather proof...i don't know.  what i do know; i still love this coat.  when i saw that forever 21 made one similar to the the burberry coat i about died: obviously the quality won't be burberry but if it's something that won't be a staple in my closet-who cares?
hope you all having a fantastic week! xx

luxe: burberry brit "findsale" coat, $995 // the less: forever 21 classic duffle coat.

ALL BLACK EVERYTHING:

happy wednesday!  i love how sharp all black looks.  it will never go out of style and to me, will always be classic.  i've been on the hunt for a faux leather pant; I wanted them to look like leather and have a somewhat sharp price point.  i found them the other day at H&M.
In general, I was really impressed with H&M's fall line: their pieces look expensive, sharp and right on trend.  I dragged my sister there--so fun; haven't gotten used to calling her in as a road-dog for a quick shopping date!  hope you are having a great week! xx

{ shop the look: } H&M, faux leather legging (if h&m doesn't fit you right: similar styles here and here) // H&M, oversized sweater // Gap, camisole // Rag & bone, boots (similar, sharper price point here and here) // Madewell, satchel // Charming Charlie, necklace // Ring one of a kind from italy (similar styles here and here) // Nordstrom, sunnies (no longer available, similar here)

exploring beautiful venice

another day in venice was filled with loads of bridges and following this guide.  there is so much amazing architecture in italy.  I have found a huge addiction in european doors and terraces: the doors are all so unique (i'll do a "door" post later) and the terraces are filled with gardens, laundry and people enjoying life and it just seems so....peaceful.  i loved that in venice there were no cars.  Coming from Rome, France and UK you suddenly have an appreciation of the whole "i'm not going to get hit by a car today" mentality and it's nice. enjoy! xx
{ shop the look: } jcrew, dress // gap, chambray // sam edelman, gladiators // necklace (similar), brass plum nordstrom // sunnies, ray ban // bag, louis vuitton + vintage chain (not lv) // lips, maybelline

london, baby!

hi, from London!  Yesterday we spent the day touring sites like big ben, buckingham palace and riding the eye- for those of you who haven't traveled to london they are all fairly close to one another.  we grabbed a grilled cheese sandwich at borough's market and sipped on pimm's at nearby pub.  i love london!  there is so much history, beauty and shopping. holy harrods.  it's like you've died and went to fashion heaven.  overwhelmingly awesome.  my sister and my brother in law get in this afternoon and i'm so excited.  1 more day in london then it's off to italy for a few weeks. xo

{ shop the look: }  denim jacket, jbrand // tee, madewell // pants, old navy (similar 1, 2) // cross body, marc jacobs // sandal, dolce vita // sunnies, brass plum

birkenstock love

it took me a second to warm back up to the birksenstock trend and now that i am way into them it's been nearly impossible to find my size!  these sandals are perfect for errands around town, or to pull off a full on fashionista look.   loving lucky's  'confession we're way too obsessed with birkenstocks' because i think i just fell into that category.

shop the sandals // orange, black, gold, bronze [ these are kids size: if you're lucky enough to fit into a kids size like my sis, i'm so jealous of you! ], floral

what i'm dying at via: the nordstrom anniversary sale

ommmmmggggg...i seriously love the nordstrom anniversary sale.  because i'm a card holder i could start shopping today (it opens up to the public on the 18th).  ugh...SO dangerous.  my cart is loaded up...however, my cart is so boring: i really need to explore colors.  The anniversary sale makes me so excited for fall: i love cool nights and the change of seasons.  happyyyy shopping.

shop some of my faves: rag & bone booties, vince dress, kate spade necklace, marc by marc cross body, michele watch, deborah lippmann polish, bobbi brown neutrals

nordstrom half yearly sale

ok...the nordstrom half yearly sale is one of my favorite little sales.  i headed to the first day of the sale yesterday and boy, was I like a kid in a candy store.  I was working so I had to shop with laser focus but I still managed to do some damage.  the shoe racks give me a little bit of anxiety but man, that's where it's at.  I managed to pick up an adorable pair of Tory Burch espadrilles and Vince sandals... equally in love with both.  They will be great shoes for all our upcoming traveling.  below are a few things i am just dying over...my poor online shopping bag, enjoy!

* i linked the photo to my fav brands
shop a few of my faves: 1. Rag & Bone Tank 2. Rag & Bone Tank 3. Alice + Olivia dress
PS - earn double points on May 21 & 22 when you use your Nordies card.

travel perfection

i am the first to admit that as i get older the more neurotic i am.  flying, amongst (many) other things, falls into this category.  what i wear when i fly is so important: i need to be comfy, i need to have the option of layering on pieces if I get cold and being comfy it's a bit warm...sigh, so much pressure.  when i saw this casual outfit on pinterest i realized that is basically my go-to cross country travel outfit.

shop the look: watch // sunnies // sandals // denim jacket // henley // shorts // tote

neutrals + metal details

my sister was in town this past weekend, while we were out shopping she picked up the cutest pair of sandals with metal detail accents: she wasn't sure if they were trend right but they so are.  In fact, I was just relaxing catching up on some of my favorite blogs and browsing a few May magazines and you'll see metal details all over.  I really love this look: these sandals can be worn as a casual look or you can pair them with a fun spring dress.

winter tan transition

ahhhh!  the world of sunless tanner can really stress me out: did I exfoliate?  shave? grab some latex gloves? am i streaky?  but! coming off of a winter (off?  my sister and girlfriends east are totally still dealing) where any ounce of color disappeared from our beloved bodies makes for a rough spring transition.  So biting the bullet and grabbing sunless tanner is really a necessity.  I've got to admit, I love the gradual tans: for 1 they don't come across so fake and 2 it's really hard to get too streaky when the color isn't as harsh, I personally like both Jergens and L'oreals.
andddd let's be real, how much cuter do bright pastels and white look with a lil tint of sun?
