holy moly: Jeff and I just got back from Maine late monday night and are currently up in the air on our way to europe (wahoo for our second red-eye).  Maine was amazing.  I know I've talked about Maine before here but this trip was a bit more special: we were up there all week boating, sailing, eating, drinking and of course spent quality time with some of our best friends but more importantly we witnessed their marriage!  I lugged my computer and other electronics up with us and turns out none of them worked.  there is no wifi up there or a starbucks to run to for wifi.  talk about being present.  it was something I needed and enjoyed so much.  see you all in france! xxoo

| my best friends wedding |

holy MIA.  with the fires last week [ which hit way too close to home ] i went into hibernation mode.  Enter the weekend- we're safe, it's cooled down and we drove up to LA for my dearest friend Amber's wedding (I threw her shower, remember? more on that here).  As you all know, I love creating and hosting so when Amber told her bridesmaid's we would have to help with all the set-up I was a) SO EXCITED! and b) worried I wouldn't meet up to her big-day expectation.  Well, the wedding turned out amazing the event took place at the Orcutt Ranch - it was picturesque; we kept joking that the venue must be where all the rom-com's are filmed.  We dance, drank the night away and I couldn't be happier for Juan and Amber.

[ the venue.... could it be any dreamier?  Juan, his dad, amber's dad and a few of his friends set up all the lighting.  it was so romantic ]

[ the tables // succulent thank you's...too cute ]

[ so many yummy desserts.  the dessert table was under a gazebo with a beautiful DIY coffee filter light ]

WEDDING WEEKEND

Although this isn't the final chapter in my sister's story- this is her final chapter as a Brodie girl this weekend...at least on paper.  Sunday my bestest, dearest, sweetest, friend will be walking down the aisle and marrying her long time love, Brett.  I am so excited for them to say their "I Do's" in front of their close family and friends, wine, dine, and dance the night away.  I've been heavily involved in her wedding process- been carrying the title of the maid of honor, been dreaming about how I'll get through my speech without a tear, and somehow making it down the grassy isle without my heels getting stuck in the dirt.
I am so thrilled for my sister and the newest addition to the Brodie clan, Brett.
Love you guys, xo.

CRAZY

You know when life gets SO crazy you feel like you're running around like a chicken with your head cut off?  That's me.  Right now.  My sister is getting married in a month (!!!) so there is TONS going on (the festivities begin this weekend).  That of course is just the cherry on top of my already insanely crazy schedule, oh and mind you it's been incredibly hot in LA that all I want to do is just sleep when I get home from work.  So, for the zillionth time, I'm sorry for neglecting my blog for the past few days.  Thinking of all of you. xo, E
