| exploring venice |

oh venice: you weren't easy to get to but you are enchanting.  we jumped on the train from rome to venice (it was a long one--roughly 4 hours, I recommend flying).  once we arrived in venice we had to jump on the vapereto water taxi / public trans to our hotel.  We enjoyed our first day just exploring shops, alleys and scenery.  we stayed at the hotel giorgione a charming hotel near loads of shopping, restaurants and public transportation.  I'll continue to post our days in venice but i must tell you, when planning a trip to venice pack your bug spray; the mosquitos are viscous!

hi, from London!  Yesterday we spent the day touring sites like big ben, buckingham palace and riding the eye- for those of you who haven't traveled to london they are all fairly close to one another.  we grabbed a grilled cheese sandwich at borough's market and sipped on pimm's at nearby pub.  i love london!  there is so much history, beauty and shopping. holy harrods.  it's like you've died and went to fashion heaven.  overwhelmingly awesome.  my sister and my brother in law get in this afternoon and i'm so excited.  1 more day in london then it's off to italy for a few weeks. xo

| voyages, paris: |

holy moly paris, i love you.  I was sad to leave paris yesterday but we packed up our things, jumped on the euro star train and away we went to the UK.  Wednesday we played the total tourist roll: we got on the metro,  (a large task in itself.  i kept saying to my dad "I feel like I'm on amazing race") saw all the wonderful sites: notre damn cathedral, the louve and the eiffel tower---to name just a few.  We ate macaroons, crepes, caprese baguettes, enjoyed latte's and eventually had an amazing proper french dinner.  I will work on a travel guide when I return home from our travels but in the meantime here is a glimpse into our day:

| Paris, je t'aime: |

bonjour from Paris!  we got here yesterday later than planned after some weather delays in London but are so happy to be here!  other than being tired and pretty foggy paris really is one of a kind and i'm so in love with it.  it's a beautiful crazy city where i am having so much fun trying to understand the french and make sure we don't get too lost!  today we spent a few hours wondering the streets and just keeping it pretty mellow.  one thing we did do that i loved was went into a french market where we bought wine, salami, olives, cheese and a fresh baguette.  i'll make sure to jot down my favorite spots along the way share xo

i chose this look for day 1 after traveling because it's so comfy yet still looks a bit chic.  A lot of french girls are wearing a printed comfy pant.  Of course wearing my beloved denim jacket never fails.  It's a great layering pieces when the sun hides behinds the clouds.

*travel tip!*  wear comfy shoes.  we walked a lot yesterday and these sandals were great for me.  Also, carry a small handbag: this MK bag fits the main necessities- my passport, credit card, chap stick and small rick steves' french dictionary.
