i bought the madewell parka last year when it was on sale for a real steal of a price...more than 50% off what it's going for online currently. it's waterproof, cozy and oh so fashionable. i was recently shopping at forever 21 and i really loved their rendition of the ever so fashionable forrest green parka; enjoy todays luxe for less. happy thursday! xo

the lux: the newbury boot by rag and bone ($525 and up) has been my favorite boot for years now. every stylish celeb, blogger and fashionista puts these at the top of her bootie list.
for less: so many brands have tried to bring a newbury-esque bootie to their lines- if you are in the market for multiple different colors at a sharp price point both aldo ($130) and forever 21 ($37.90) got your back.

happy monday! i love wool hats for fall and winter; they're so chic and they also play a great role for a bad hair day. Todays two looks i chose a hat from rag & bone and another from h & m both are similar with one big difference: price point. you can find wool hats at wear now stores like forever 21 or if you live in san diego you can grab one at the new topshop at fashion valley. you can also splurge if you think you'll wear the heck out of it.. hope you all have a great week.

jeff and i drove about an hour and a half east to julian for a little getaway. it really felt like fall up there: crisp, breezy and beautiful. whenever venturing to julian you must have a piece of pie-- so we did just that...i was a little sad apple picking is pretty much done for the season but it was nice to get a change of scenery and enjoy other parts of san diego. hope you all are having a great week. xx

happy wednesday! i love how sharp all black looks. it will never go out of style and to me, will always be classic. i've been on the hunt for a faux leather pant; I wanted them to look like leather and have a somewhat sharp price point. i found them the other day at H&M.
In general, I was really impressed with H&M's fall line: their pieces look expensive, sharp and right on trend. I dragged my sister there--so fun; haven't gotten used to calling her in as a road-dog for a quick shopping date! hope you are having a great week! xx

happy monday!!! oh man; monday's are such a great way to start a week fresh- i woke up this morning, went to the gym and man, i'm feeling amazing. by now, it's no secret that i totally want some fall weather! while watching the patriots game last night (wahoo, for the win!) happy monday!! i bought jeff the herschel "little america" style for his birthday last year and it has been such a great backpack for him. it's so well made, spacious and stylish. i typically travel with my louis neverfull but i wanted something a bit more durable and secure for our trip. Before we left jeff bought me the "pop quiz" style and it's been such a great backpack for traveling! my laptop, mags, snacks..everything fits in it. Some backpacks just look so cheap, I love how stylish and well made herschel's are.

ommmmmggggg...i seriously love the nordstrom anniversary sale. because i'm a card holder i could start shopping today (it opens up to the public on the 18th). ugh...SO dangerous. my cart is loaded up...however, my cart is so boring: i really need to explore colors. The anniversary sale makes me so excited for fall: i love cool nights and the change of seasons. happyyyy shopping.

it's no secret i am absolutely in love with a basic tee. I think that owning multiple basic tee's (preferably a bit oversized) is so important to ones wardrobe. Multiple times a week you will see me wearing one front tucked with a pair of denim, a belt, a cute pair of shoes + accessories and calling it a day. The best part about a simple tee is they are so versatile; you don't have to be boring like me.

ok...the nordstrom half yearly sale is one of my favorite little sales. i headed to the first day of the sale yesterday and boy, was I like a kid in a candy store. I was working so I had to shop with laser focus but I still managed to do some damage. the shoe racks give me a little bit of anxiety but man, that's where it's at. I managed to pick up an adorable pair of Tory Burch espadrilles and Vince sandals... equally in love with both. They will be great shoes for all our upcoming traveling. below are a few things i am just dying over...my poor online shopping bag, enjoy!

TGIF!!! I am having a serious obsession with wearing blue and white. the color combo is so versatile: it can be nautical, crisp, playful, dressed up, dressed down, etc... in my opinion, this duo can do it all. I'm starting to brainstorm what I will be packing for our memorial day getaway and i keep gravitating to these two. am i the only one totally obsessing over the whole blue and white vibe? have a great weekend!
