where the heck did the week go? holy moly! time flies when you're having fun. today is a rainy day in new england so i'm not sure what we're up to but yesterday we went on an awesome walk through morses pond then shopped. holy cow! we went into TJX in Framingham and they had an amazing runway section. i could of done some damage in there except the whole no room in the suitcase thing.
todays luxe for less is something that killlllls me. i've been eyeing this burberry coat since we lived on the east coast. in person, it is so beautifully made, cozy & warm, tailored nicely and so chic but for whatever reason i never pulled the trigger- maybe it's the $1,000 price point, maybe i needed something a bit weather proof...i don't know. what i do know; i still love this coat. when i saw that forever 21 made one similar to the the burberry coat i about died: obviously the quality won't be burberry but if it's something that won't be a staple in my closet-who cares?

happy monday! tomorrow jeff and i are off to new england for a bit. i've totally hit a packing funk: packing for cooler weather takes up so much more room in my luggage which makes you have to pack a bit more savvy. with my sister being back in san diego we always find our way to a mall or doing some sort of shopping. last week we spent an entire day shopping (exhausting) and she and i were both on a mission and we failed. i wanted a maroon felt hat and she wanted maroon pants. we are both loving maroon and these two looks make me want to load up on lots more of it because it's great for fall and winter plus it's a great color for the upcoming holiday season! hope you all have a great week. xx

the lux: the newbury boot by rag and bone ($525 and up) has been my favorite boot for years now. every stylish celeb, blogger and fashionista puts these at the top of her bootie list.
for less: so many brands have tried to bring a newbury-esque bootie to their lines- if you are in the market for multiple different colors at a sharp price point both aldo ($130) and forever 21 ($37.90) got your back.

happy monday! i love wool hats for fall and winter; they're so chic and they also play a great role for a bad hair day. Todays two looks i chose a hat from rag & bone and another from h & m both are similar with one big difference: price point. you can find wool hats at wear now stores like forever 21 or if you live in san diego you can grab one at the new topshop at fashion valley. you can also splurge if you think you'll wear the heck out of it.. hope you all have a great week.

happy monday!!! oh man; monday's are such a great way to start a week fresh- i woke up this morning, went to the gym and man, i'm feeling amazing. by now, it's no secret that i totally want some fall weather! while watching the patriots game last night (wahoo, for the win!) happy thursday! i am totally dying over this whole pineapple trend. I've got to admit i haven't been vibe'n with some of the graphics that have been thrown on some of my fav brands..ie: flamingos. *fun fact* i am deathly afraid of flamingos and they gross me out more than anything. anyway, PINEAPPLES! gasp! how cute and tropical is this trend? my house currently smells like hawaii because of this yummy scentsy scent (what? it's discontinued? i'm sure this bad boy smells just as yum). this trend definitely gets me ready for summer.

the other day my girlfriend Lauren texted me to ask me if I watch RHONY - I once did, but not currently. Anyway, she told me the newest housewife reminds her of me...so I had to watch it. I only caught a glimpse of the show and I'm not sure why I remind her of Kristen but I'm loving her style, her manicure swag and I totally love that she likes to rock chunky statement necklaces. I bought a chunky chain necklace recently and I've had a problem creating the right outfits + necklace look until I saw her rocking the crap out of one - specifically when she did a interview with a coated chunky chain AND a crop top / skirt outfit..i died . I'm ready to implement the look and am really excited to switch up my accessories with my cute chunky chain necklace.

I am so bummed we didn't get to Coachella this past weekend. It one was of those things that got brought up multiple times and never executed. festival style aka boho chic is everything right now; I remember my first time at south by southwest years ago; although the music and energy was contagious the fashion was bold, daring and forever memorable. Later this week I am teaming up with Dani from See Dani Style to share our favorite festival styles but in the mean time I've put together a super easy packing list for any upcoming festival... and don't worry, if you can't get to a festival this year these outfits are totally acceptable for an everyday look:

I am so excited to talk about another trend for spring, I've been lusting over the matching trend set for sometime now and here's why: I think the matching set trend is so versatile; wear one on a tropical vaca with a crop top and skirt, throw on pants and a bomber for errands around town, or spice up your boring office getup with a pencil skirt and peplum. I also love that you can mix and match the pieces with solids to add newness to your spring wardrobe. The best part about this trend is you can find a set at a trendy price point store or invest in one. Pair these looks with a simple gladiator sandal or pump and your outfit in complete.

Getting a matching pant and top set (in any other color than black) is on the top of my August wish list. Sets are perfect for the office, dinner date, or party. I'm obsessed.

I'm usually very "programed" when it comes to the colors I wear on my nails & toes; I typically stick with Lollipop [ also a favorite of Olivia Palermo ], Ballet Slippers, or Wicked (in the Winter only) all by Essie. Lately, I've been stepping out of the box; right now I'm wearing a completely obnoxious florescent orange on my nails and a Mint color of my toes. Afraid to take a risk?
