CRAVING PASTELS

Wah Wah Wah... it's raining in San Diego.  

We had amazing weather earlier in the week. (which worked out great for our east coast guests) ....I'm talking shorts and tanks.  Now we're back in sweaters and denim...hymph.

Any who- It's a totally lazy weekend while we get ready for more company this coming week.. in the meantime, I'm totally drooling over all the pastels that are trending so heavily right now.  My sis and I are always chatting about how freakin' cold it is where she lives so fashion frequently takes the back seat and you just wear your heaviest north face, camper socks, and complimentary static.  BUT Lately we've been chatting about spring trends aka her thaw wear.

SHORTS

Shorts are my favorite part of a Spring/ Summer weekend & of course not working.  Dress them for the beach or for dinner.  Wear them with a tank or a button down.  

I'm such a southern California girl when it comes to a lazy Summer outfit- any kind of shorts ( I chose 4 of my favorite basics below), an oversized white tank and cute sandals.

Pair with a pair of printed shorts and cute sandals or white jeans and wedges and you'll easily understand why I'm so into this trend.  It's an easy, cute look and has the ability to transition through seasons.

March wants.....

I'm at the point where my closet doesn't move: I have a problem.  My new thing?  "Renting" cute tops from my mom's non-moving closet(s).  I snag things I love, wear them once, and give them back.  It's like the Bag, Borrow or steal of my life.  I'm so excited about all the Spring trends that are hitting stores so here is a small scale of my many wants (that I don't need)..... I'm hoping my mom will buy the rest of the things I've been eyeing so I can continue this amazing new found tradition/ addiction/ money saver.

"One for one"

I have been a loyal fan of Tom's Shoe's since they first entered the market in 2006.  I now own multiple pairs of the comfy tenny, so you could imagine my excitement when I heard Tom's will be introducing Ballet flats to the already growing business in Spring 2012.  Ballet flats have a little more versatility than their basic tenny so I'm looking forward to investing in a few pairs and feeling good about a purchase that not only adds style to my wardrobe but doubles as a feel good cause and movement.
